It turns out Riviera: The Promised Land wasn’t the only classic Sting-developed GBA RPG getting news this week. It has been confirmed that Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone‘s Switch port will be getting a worldwide release later this month on July 27th, joining the PC version as it leaves Early Access.

Yggdra Union’s hook is a battle system that allows up to five characters to engage in combat at once, depending on where they are on the grid-based map. Check out the previously released Steam trailer for an idea of how the game plays:

The Switch version is primarily based on the previous PSP port, though the PC version has since added a voice language toggle, the ability to save during battles, infinite items in Easy mode, and more.

Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone will release for the Nintendo Switch on July 27th and will cost $24.99.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
