If you were active on video game forums in the mid-2000’s you might remember fans raving about the Game Boy Advance RPG Riviera: The Promised Land. A blend of anime aesthetics, dating sim elements, and turn-based combat, it struck a chord with quite a few players.

It may be time for a fandom revival as publisher and developer Sting has confirmed that it’s coming back with a HD remaster.

Unfortunately we don’t know many specifics at this time – such as platforms or whether it will get a western release – but it’s possible we’ll be getting a remaster of the 2006 PSP port, which did get a localisation by Atlus.
