Back in early 2020, Platinum Games managed to wrangle The Wonderful 101 out of Wii U exclusivity with a Kickstarter campaign. One promise made during the process was for free DLC featuring Luka as a stretch goal, which was surpassed, and now the first part is finally here!
The Wonderful One: After School Hero – Part 1 features the young hero on a 2D side-scrolling adventure with a rather different gameplay style to the base game, though you’ll still be able to call on the help of a few Wonderful Ones. Two modes will be included – Arcade Mode, which tells the story of Luka becoming the hero Wonder Goggles, and Challenge Mode which lets you attempt different Drills to beat missions.
The Wonderful One: After School Hero’s first part is available now for free with a second part to release later.
