The apparitions of a sobbing Olberic and smiling Primrose behind new protagonists Hikari and Agnea (who inherit their roles from the past game) is pretty funny and sweet, a nice symbol of passing the torch to the next title. With all luck, the sequel will be just as — if not more — successful in the long run.
Octopath Traveler II launches February 24th, 2023.
