Among all the new information from today’s Pokémon Scarlet and Violet announcement trailer shared, The Pokémon Company also announced new information, products, and promotions. For North American fans, the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet-themed Nintendo Switch OLED was a pretty big announcement, especially invoking buyer’s remorse for anyone who is smitten by the design after picking up the Splatoon 3-themed Nintendo Switch OLED.

Yet, that wasn’t the only product announced today. Pokémon fans in Japan are getting a very special Pokémon TCG promo card featuring Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.

According to a page listing various purchase bonuses for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, physical copies of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (not the double pack, individual editions only) will include the card. It also notes that the card’s art is not final and may be included in a future product release.

If this sounds familiar, that’s because it’s extremely similar to a promotion for Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ release in Japan. Physical copies of the game included a special Pokémon TCG promo card (for PLA it was an Arceus V card).

To get your own special Pokémon Scarlet and Violet promo card, you can get it by importing a physical copy of the game’s Japanese release (Amazon Japan will be your best bet).

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be available on Nintendo Switch soon, launching on Friday, November 18th.
