To be, or not to be. That is one of many philosophical questions at the heart of NieR: Automata, the 2017 action-RPG opus that comes to Nintendo Switch in early October in a brand-new End of YoRHa edition. And Nintendo has released its first trailer for the occasion, focusing on central character (and cosplay icon) 2B.

In a brisk one minute, the game shows 2B’s combat abilities as she narrates about the samsaric existence she and her other androids inhabit, wondering if their constant loop of death and rebirth is some sort of punishment. Then she openly speculates about the god who created such a world — and the possibility of killing him. The trailer also shows her dressing up in silly costumes. That really is NieR: Automata in a nutshell, frankly.

The End of YoRHa Edition brings glory to mankind on October 6th.
