Oh Splatfests, how we’ve missed you. These popularity contests ended up some of the best parts of Splatoon from a community perspective, and in proud series tradition we’re getting one ahead of schedule. The Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere will test the waters and get the ink pumping before the game launches, and let players get to know our new hosts Deep Cut a little better!
The theme this time is taking full advantage of Splatoon 3’s tweaks to the Splatfest formula, in particular the presence of three teams instead of two. Fans will be able to settle once and for all what’s the best choice when it comes to Rock, Paper, Scissors!
The free pre-launch festivities begin Saturday, August 27th, at 9 a.m. PT. They’ll run for a 12 hour window, giving players half a day to see what’s in store for the full release. If you’ve never given Splatoon a try or have been itching to get back on the Turf, this Tricolor clash is going to be the way to do it!
