The World Ends With You remains one of the finest titles on the DS, using the handheld hardware in creative ways while delivering a superb soundtrack and stylish world when it was released 15 years ago. That legacy was continued last year with NEO: The World Ends With You, and while it’s not clear if this take on Shibuya’s going to be back in the spotlight anytime soon, we’ve at least gotten something spiffy to mark the pair of occasions.

July 27th is the birthday of both these urban fantasies and the above illustration celebrates that. The core casts from both games are shown scrambling in opposite directions, with the 104 building looming in the background.

You can find both The World Ends With You titles on Switch, and though I’d sooner suggest the DS version of the first you can’t go wrong taking NEO for a spin.
