Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has been out for only a couple weeks, but it’s already crossed an impressive threshold — it’s shipped over 3 million copies, marking a great success for an expansion for an already successful game.

For the record, the base game for Rise sold over 9 million units, so roughly a third of the install base picked up Sunbreak. All things considered, that’s a great attachment rate and a sign that interest and passion in the series is going strong. To celebrate the milestone, a third free item pack will be distributed to all players. Congrats to the team at Capcom, and good luck with their future products!
