Reggie Fils-Aimé may have departed from Nintendo of America, but he has certainly not forgotten his role as the company’s president and all of the engagement with fans he had during his tenure. The Regginator has a history of light-heartedly teasing Mother 3 fans, particularly those who continue to demand an official English translation of the beloved, Japan-only Game Boy Advance title. Ensure sure your body is ready because yesterday, Reggie struck once again.

Since May 8th was Mother’s Day in the U.S., Reggie thought it was the perfect time to stoke the fires of the Mother 3 debate again by sharing an amusing piece of fan art.

Reggie did address the cult hit title in a more serious manner last week, when he revealed that Mother 3 was, in fact, considered for 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console releases in the past.

The beloved businessman has been in many headlines unrelated to Mother 3 as well of late, following the launch of Reggie’s latest book, Disrupting The Game: From The Bronx To The Top of Nintendo, which is available now in hardcover, digital, and audiobook formats. Recent stories that have emerged from the book include how he felt that the Game Boy Micro was a mistake before its launch, and how he pushed for a lower launch price for the 3DS but was rejected by Nintendo.
