We’re getting closer and closer to Pokémon Day! Today’s countdown announcement is focused on the Pokémon MOBA game, Pokémon UNITE, and the Nintendo Switch and mobile game isn’t shying away from throwing a big bash.

The Pokémon Day festivities will be held for over two weeks – from Thursday, February 24th to Monday, March 14th, 2022! Players can look forward to log-in bonuses, the arrival of Hoopa, and a new quick battle.

The new quick battle, dubbed full-fury battles, are weekend-long matches that aren’t just quick, but let you play with any Pokémon. Here are the details from the official Pokémon UNITE site:

Battle to the max in these new full-fury battles, available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays throughout the Pokémon Day event and beyond. Full-fury battles offer shorter waiting times before diving into the heat of battle, and the battles themselves are flashier, with moves being easier to string together than ever before. These fast, frenzied battles feature shorter cooldowns, shorter recovery times after being knocked out, increased Aeos energy from knocking out opposing Pokémon, and much more. This is also the perfect opportunity to battle using Pokémon you haven’t tried yet, because on special days throughout the event, all Pokémon will be available to play at no cost in all battles except ranked matches.

We still have two more days of announcements/events left before Pokémon Day on Sunday, February 27th. Look forward to news about P25 Music on Friday, Pokémon GO’s Tour: Johto on Saturday, and finally, a Pokémon Presents scheduled for Sunday, February 27th at 6 a.m. PT | 9 a.m. ET.
