Rareware left an undeniable mark in Nintendo history thanks to the Donkey Kong Country series, but it’s the old bear and bird that endeared them to many. Banjo-Kazooie is now playable via Switch Online, and though the most googly-eyed developer of our childhoods is a part of the ever-growing Xbox family these days, they still had some kind words for this N64 homecoming.

Along with this lovely photo complete with a B&K inspired Joy-Con color choice, Rare shared a Banjo-Kazooie primer on the series. This includes all the series’ console titles (sorry Grunty’s Revenge and Banjo-Pilot) as well as some info and resources for anyone just learning about this backpack-toting duo.
It’s a nice reflection, and even nicer to see Rare recognizing their iconic creation in a world where Sea of Thieves is their bread and butter. More power to them, but here’s hoping more of their library joins the Switch Online Expansion Pack.
