Nintendo of America announced today that adventure title Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition is the latest game to get the Game Trial treatment for Nintendo Switch Online members. Previously, members were given an opportunity to try out games in their entirety like The World Ends with You: Final Remix and Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town through the service.

Available starting this Wednesday, December 15th, at 10 a.m. PT, players will have nearly a week to play the full game with its availability wrapping up the following week on December 21st at 11:59 p.m. PT. And if you don’t have a subscription for NSO, this is great timing! Nintendo is currently offering a free seven day trial of the service right now, and it’ll last well past the duration of the Don’t Starve Game Trial.

If you’re looking for more insight on the game, make sure to check out our impressions on the Switch version — and have a look at the game’s description below, as well as the announcement trailer.

In Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition, You play as Wilson, an intrepid Gentleman Scientist who has been trapped by a demon and transported to a mysterious wilderness world. Enter a bizarre and unexplored world full of strange creatures, dangers, and surprises. Learn to exploit the environment and its inhabitants to escape and find your way back home.

If you’re ready for a new challenge, Reign of Giants expands the entire world of Don’t Starve with new characters, seasons, creatures, biomes, and other challenges to Don’t Starve.

If you’re looking for adventures at sea, Shipwrecked will set you off to explore a mysterious new tropical archipelago that you can explore on both land and sea! Don’t let the tropical breeze lull you into a false sense of security – the world might be different, but it is still equal parts unforgiving and uncompromising.

Do whatever it takes to survive, but most importantly, Don’t Starve!
