Few demos were as coveted for decades as the Space World ’97 showcase of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, or as it was known then, Zelda 64. Many features from this earlier version of the classic were wildly different, with unique enemies, different map layouts, and even fundamental button maps.

Last year, we reported on the massive leaks that unveiled a bunch of unused content for a variety of Nintendo 64 games. Among these were assets for the beta version of Ocarina of Time, and modders immediately set to work on recreating elements by modding the final release.

While a lot of these attempts were disjointed, this latest release from a wide array of modders aims to replicate the Space World demo itself, featuring the same blocked-off areas and a main menu for selecting different parts of the game. Check out a trailer below:

If you want a more thorough look of what the recreated demo has to offer, you can also check out Hard4Games’ run-through.
