WarioWare’s two latest entries have marked a turning point for the frantic franchise. Sure, the new art style is notable and the series is now embracing multiplayer microgames, but perhaps their greatest gift to the world is letting Charles Martinet go off as Wario’s voice actor. He can Wah with the best of ‘em (because he is), but full sentences go a long way in bringing the character to life – who’d have guessed?

Just take the above promo video for example. Wario’s trying to convince you to pick up WarioWare: Get it Together! and tell you why it’s worth grabbing, but more than half of the examples boil down to “Because I’m Wario”. Also, apparently Wario can’t count, or just doesn’t care to keep track of numbers that aren’t related to his cash flow? Whatever the case, I’m here for it, and hope this trend continues.

Just in case the man himself’s word isn’t enough for you, you can read through our own WarioWare: Get it Together! review.
