There’s no denying that when it comes to certain Monster Hunter fans, fashion is more important than function. You can grind and grind in Monster Hunter Rise to put together the most optimal armor for your chosen weapon or desired skill set, but you could end up looking a mess if luck isn’t on your side. And yeah, Layered Armor fixes that up, but what if you want to make a real statement out in the field and ditch the more typical series aesthetic?

That’s where the latest Event Quest comes in.

As promised during E3, Rise is letting players add a pair of leather pants to their closet via a faceoff with an Almudron. This High Rank quest in the Sandy Plains will reward you with material to craft the Black Leather “armor”, which is really just some tight, modern style. Remember to craft this one as Layered if you want to work it no matter what, though the standard variant offers a level 3 slot and two levels of Wirebug Whisperer.
