Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! was a big surprise reveal last week, bringing the game to a whole bunch of platforms (and available physically) for the first time. If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about with this game, I suggest you try and keep yourself spoiler-free for the best first-time experience. If you’d like to know what’s in store for Plus specifically, a new overview trailer narrated by Dan Salvato has been released today.

In it, Salvato details some of his intent with the game and this updated release. New to it will be character-focused Side Stories that detail how these friends came together, as well as a 26 song music player and a whole lot of artwork for its picture gallery. It sounds like a lot of care has gone into this, both for new players and diehard fans.

You can experience some nice poems for yourself when Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! releases on Nintendo Switch, PC, and all currently supported Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
