Nintendo LABO may be dead to many, including Nintendo themselves, but that hasn’t stopped dedicated enthusiasts from pushing its creation software to its absolute limits. YouTuber Mr Tiffles! is one such enthusiast who has gone so far as to recreate the combat mechanics from the 2016 reboot of the Doom franchise within the LABO VR Garage.

Mr Tiffles! is well versed in the development tools found within the LABO VR kit’s software, having made 3D platformers, shooting ranges, and even recreated the gameplay from VR fan-favorite titles such as Beat Saber and SuperHot.

LABO VR Garage offers no sort of sharing functionality, so there’s no way for us to play Mr Tiffles! creations for ourselves. Thankfully, the upcoming successor to this cardboard-based creation engine, Game Builder Garage, will support sharing, and Mr Tiffles! has already announced that his DOOM experience will be recreated within the new game. We can’t wait to see what creators like him have in store for Game Builder Garage, and are looking forward to getting our hands on his DOOM experience as soon as it’s ready!
