Though we received Pac-Man 99 last month, it’s been slow going as far as classic titles on the Switch Online subscription’s retro libraries. Today, five such titles have been announced and while they won’t be checking off any boxes when it comes to Nintendo classics, there’s at least one pleasant surprise for this puzzle fan.

The Super Nintendo/Super Famicom version of Magical Drop2 never left Japan until now, making it a solid get on that merit. The more recognizable addition is likely Joe & Mac, or Caveman Ninja, also from Data East. They’re joined by Spanky’s Quest, Super Baseball Simulator 1.000, and Ninja JaJaMaru-kun – the lone NES title of this batch. All five will be available for subscribers beginning May 26th.

On the Japanese side, players will be able to access Joe & Mac, Magical Drop2, Ninja JaJaMaru-kun as well as Doomsday Warrior and Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Now that’d be a nice one to have, just in time for its 15th anniversary too…

This batch will push the grand total of available games to 104, once they become available on May 26th. With E3 on the horizon, perhaps there’ll be some greater news for the service to celebrate for US fans too…
