Alongside its vibrant visuals and self-aware sense of humor, one of Immortals Fenyx Rising’s greatest attributes is its beautiful soundtrack. Composed by Gareth Coker of Ori fame, the music features an iconic blend of pounding drum beats, flowing wind instruments, and sweeping vocalizations that would be right at home in a Lord of the Rings film.

In the latest episode of Ubisoft’s Game Makers Podcast, Coker and the game’s Music Supervisor Jérôme Angelot sit down for a nearly hour-long discussion on the game’s incredible music from its inception to the final product. It’s a great listen, and it offers a nice look behind the scenes of one of the best game soundtracks in recent years.

The Immortals Fenyx Rising soundtrack is currently available on all platforms, as well as streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
