Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is doing quite a few things new for the long running series. There’s its shift to 3D models instead of sprites, for one, as well as the Super Reincarnation mechanic to take level grinding and damage numbers to astronomical heights. Of course, it’s not just mechanics that are updating.
The newest trailer gives a quick look at four new characters for the strategy RPG, split evenly between classes and recruitable monsters. They include the Psychic and Mech Girl classes, and the Evil Eye and Pincer Shell monsters. Now you too can fight like crab while walking like people.
It’s also been announced that free DLC will be made available at launch themed to VTuber agency HoloLive. Five of their VTubers are lending not just their voices, but their styles and colors to Disgaea 6. They aren’t the only free Disgaea 6 DLC, as playable characters from past titles will also be joining in.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny launches on Switch in the west on June 29th.
