Skullgirls 2nd Encore is at the start of a new era, entering a dedicated content roll out for the first time in years. The Skullgirls Season 1 Pass has already begun, adding the long-awaited Annie of the Stars to the game’s mobile version as well as PC. Console players (and Switch players especially) may still have a long way to wait for these premium additions, but that doesn’t mean they can’t hop on board the hype train.

In an announcement of an announcement, Skullgirls has slated the news on the game’s next fighter for May 6th. The given image is full of silhouettes, featuring what appears to be every character from the game’s previous Keep Skullgirls Growing Indiegogo campaign days. And a skeleton! You can read about the lot of them and their hypothetical gameplay here.
There’s no knowing who’ll step on the stage next, but one thing is for sure – there’s still no stopping Skullgirls.
