This year’s Pokémon Day celebrations are officially very musical, what with P25 Music including the likes of Katy Perry and Post Malone.

In-keeping with that spirit we want to shine the spotlight on a few YouTube creators who have released their own remixes and covers for the occasion!

Where better to start than the starting towns themselves? Viola player Joannna (xclassiccatx) brought together all of the current starting town themes into one medley, all in the key of the original Pallet Town.

And on the complete opposite side of the games, we have a latin jazz remix of Ever Grande City from Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald by Sab Irene. The location of the Elite Four in the Hoenn region, it’s sure to stick in the minds of players.

If you want something more rockin’, BradleyBread‘s cover of Pokémon Yellow’s frantic opening followed by the Main Theme will probably be up your alley!

Then there’s the anime! EmuEmi has released a cover of the English ending vocal theme from Pokémon: I Choose You! that gets delightfully jazzy.

Sometimes it’s fun to hear a song performed in a different language as well, which is just what Yoongru & Yamgru have offered with this Korean cover of Bump of Chicken’s GOTCHA!

And let’s wind down this article with a funky version of Black & White’s Driftveil City from Sean081799!

We hope you’re having a fun Pokémon day, and if you’re an aspiring musician with some Pokémon covers of your own, be sure to share them below or in response to our social media posts!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
