Last year Carto caught our eye, both because of its visual style and interesting core concept. Being able to shift, lift, and rearrange the map in order to navigate unites puzzle and adventure elements, making for a unique indie currently available on the eShop and other digital platforms.

Of course, for a game that thrives on the tactile who wouldn’t want a physical copy? Thankfully iam8bit gets it, and have announced a special edition of the game to fit right in with the rest of your collection.

Planned for Switch and PlayStation 4, this packaged version will include the game with new, reversible package art from developer Sunhead Games’ Kuan Hung Chen. While it will be coming to “select retailers”, ordering from iam8bit directly will get you something extra special.

To mimic the game’s map, a 9-piece tabletop map tile set will be included. These will be two-sided, giving you even more options, and can be rearranged to fit together however you like! It’s a bonus as true to form as can be for this delight of a game.

Orders will be opening on February 25th, with copies planned to ship in Q2 2021. The PlayStation version will cost $29.99, while the Switch copy will run slightly higher at $34.99.
