While a certain special Zelda-flavored Musou got an Expansion Pass announcement as part of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, it wasn’t the only Warriors game to make an appearance. With its first mainline entry since 2014, Samurai Warriors 5 has sliced onto the scene.

Set during the Ōnin War of the Sengoku period, the game’s story focuses on the notable military commanders Nobunaga Oda and Mitsuhide Akechi. The gameplay, meanwhile, sees enemy forces evolve as the story progresses.

Samurai Warriors 5 launches for the Nintendo Switch this summer. Koei Tecmo US will hold monthly streams up until launch, too, beginning February 25th!
