The Tales of series is in the midst of celebrating its 25th Anniversary, and while things are quiet as far as what’s coming next, Bandai Namco continues to provide fond looks back at the series’ past. Most recently, a pair of Playstation 2 titles have been spotlighted, one of which made the leap to the Nintendo 3DS almost ten years ago.

Tales of the Abyss continues to be a fan favorite title in the west, with well regarded central themes and characters carrying the experience. It also refined the linear motion battle system as it appears in 3D titles, improving the first steps Symphonia took.

Between those two, though, was this series oddity. Tales of Legendia may not have made waves for the series like other titles released, but it still stands as part of that legacy.

We have plenty of more titles to go for with these video retrospectives, though these Tales of games have already been covered: Phantasia, Destiny, Eternia, Destiny 2, and Symphonia.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
