UPDATE (Friday, January 22nd, 2021): The soundtrack is now available to pre-order (for $34.99) on Square Enix’s online store for North America.

Square Enix has announced that the soundtrack for the vibrantly colorful and wonderfully trippy 3D platformer from the minds of Sonic creators Yuji Naka and Naoto Oshima, Balan Wonderworld, will be receiving a physical release! The soundtrack will feature over 90 tracks by composer Ryo Yamazaki across three CDs and is planned for release on March 31st, just a few days after the game itself.

Pre-orders of the album from the official Square Enix store will include a special sleeve for the jewel case featuring special artwork that has yet to be revealed. The sleeve will be in limited supply and is seemingly planned to only be available for the first print of the album. You can pre-order the soundtrack yourself from the official Japanese Square-Enix store for ¥3,630 (about $35) or wait for it to appear on Square Enix’s online stores for other regions! Plus, if you’ve secured the Balan Wonderworld Showtime Set collector’s edition, then you won’t have to worry about picking up the CD. You’ll have it from day one!

Balan Wonderworld is set to perform on the Nintendo Switch on March 26th, and a demo of the game will be released on the eShop later this month.
