It’s no Ghost Trap or Star Stack, but any Kirby-meets-puzzles fun is welcome in my book. If that’s not enough to get you playing the upcoming Tetris 99 Maximus Cup themed to Kirby Fighters 2, have a look at the theme itself in action.
Not only does it feature Fighters 2 music (one of the best parts of that game all things considered) and familiar Kirby sound effects, but it’s bringing the best Tetriminos I’ve seen in a long time. Kirby, Bandana Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, King Dedede, Magolor, and Gooey will be appearing on the blocks this time around. Now every board can be full of Dream Friends until the winner is crowned!
Be sure to participate and earn 100 points to keep this theme for yourself. The Kirby Fighters 2 Tetris 99 event will begin this Friday, January 8th, and run until January 13th.
