Switch owners (or at least Smash fans) have no doubt gotten to know Terry Bogard a lot better since he joined Ultimate’s roster. You can also find plenty of other Fatal Fury titles on the eShop thanks to the ongoing Arcade Archives series. If those classics aren’t your speed or you just have an appreciation for handhelds of the past, then SNK’s got a cute and colorful surprise for you!

Fatal Fury: First Contact brought the familiar cast to the NeoGeo Pocket Color, and now they’re coming to Switch. This continues SNK’s ongoing NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection series, which has also touched on series such as Samurai Shodown and The Last Blade.

A special video message was also shared by SNK Producer Yasuyuki Oda, where he discussed the game’s history and how it was based on Real Bout Fatal Fury 2. You can get some idea of what to expect by checking out what we thought of SNK Gals’ Fighters.

He also briefly touched on when we’ll hear about a pair of more modern SNK titles. Both Samurai Shodown’s Season Pass 3 content and the debut trailer of The King of Fighters XV will arrive on January 6th at 6 p.m. PT. In the meantime you can enjoy Fatal Fury: First Contact on Switch, available now from the eShop.
