The warrior from Star Road might be making his way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate again in the form of a Mii costume, but Geno fans are being granted one other wish this year. Kazuyuki Kurashima, one of the concept artists and illustrators at SquareSoft who worked on Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, has shown off his original concept art he drafted for the living doll. Have a look below at the artwork he posted on Twitter showcasing an entirely different take on the fan-favorite party member!

As for Mario’s Nimbus partner he first encounters in the original Super Nintendo title before Geno, the artist responded to a fan question asking about Mallow concept art, but sadly reported back with some bad news. Kurashima believes that he has lost all of his original illustrations for Mallow. If Kurashima ever does post any Super Mario RPG related artwork, we will be sure to keep you all posted!
