Announced during October’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is right on track to celebrate the Bokujō Monogatari franchise’s 25th anniversary in 2021. Today, XSEED Games has shared some new details about the game’s English localization as well as the standard and limited retail editions.
First, Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will be available on the Nintendo Switch on March 23rd, 2021 in North America for $49.99 (standard edition). For $10 more, you can upgrade your copy to the limited “Premium Edition”. That includes the game, a 2.5” by 4” adorable pocket plushie of title mascot “Buffy” the buffalo, and a 13.5” by 24” cloth poster featuring the full key illustration for the game all in a special box. For those who collect the (usually) pre-order bonus plushies, the Premium Edition is the way to go! XSEED Games does note that details about the game’s digital release on Nintendo eShop will be shared at a later date. There’s also no official word about if/when the digital pre-order bonuses Japan is getting will make their way to North America.
Besides the pre-order launch, more screenshots were shared – including some of the marriage candidates and their localized names.
