Capcom’s given us a fresh look at Monster Hunter Rise via new gameplay footage. The majority of the video contains a fight against new monster Aksonom with the Greatsword, but we also see the new Palamutes and Wire Bug in action.
While Palamutes were known to be speedy transport, being able to sharpen or heal while on the move with them could be extra helpful depending on the situation. We also see them wielding knives in their mouths during the hunt, which is always welcome.
The Wire Bug looks to be the real star though, taking the swinging features of the Slinger from Monster Hunter World and increasing their applicability. Being able to zipline around a monster looks fun and opens up new strategies for any returning enemies.
Monster Hunter Rise, as well as new Monster Hunter amiibo, will be available on Switch early next year on March 26th.
