Following up on an adjustment previously announced for Japan, it looks like single Joy-Con controllers are indeed seeing a price drop in the west. This will only apply for Neon Blue and Neon Red, Left and Right respectively, and will place them at $39.99 starting November 9th.

This places more parity at the Joy-Con pair sets, which will remain at an MSRP of $79.99. While there are no further announcements, such as additional colors at this price, it’s good news for Switch owners that may need an extra or replacement Joy-Con. If you’re experiencing Joy-Con drift, however, we suggest contacting Nintendo directly instead to see if you qualify for a no-cost repair.
