Squids and kids, prepare to ink your opponents up in just two weeks. An international Turf War battle is back as Nintendo has announced a new Splatoon 2 Autumn Open Tournament event. On Saturday, October 17th, players will once again have the opportunity to gain new ground as they fight for a flood of My Nintendo Gold Points and glory. Members of the event who place within the top 8 teams will all receive My Nintendo Gold Points to use on a future eShop purchase. The grand prize first place winning team will of course receive the largest reward as they will take home 2,500 Gold Points ($25) each. Meanwhile, second to fourth place teams will earn 2,000 Gold Points ($20) while fifth to eighth place winners will receive 1,500 Gold Points ($15) each. As per usual, to register for this month’s upcoming tournament all you have to do is own a copy of Splatoon 2, retain a stable internet connection, gather three Squid/Octo-ling friends, and head on over to BattleFly’s official game page to register any day before the event.
