You know you’re getting old when a classic game reaches its 40th anniversary. In a series of announcements regarding Castlevania’s 40th anniversary, Konami has announced a new concert series will be kicking off in 2027 to commemorate the iconic music that fans have come to love. Starting in Spring 2027 in London, the series will expand to Tokyo and Los Angeles where fans will be treated to live renditions of songs from games such as Rondo of Blood, Symphony of the Night, Order of Ecclesia, and more.
If you can’t make the trek out to see the concert, Konami will also be uploading “Castlevania Black & Red” to streaming services. Out of context, that sounds like nothing, but Black & Red is actually an extensive 46 LP box set encompassing nearly the entire discography of the series. Going for $549.99, having all of that available on streaming is a godsend for people who don’t have a record player lying around. It’s also the most comprehensive release of Castlevania’s soundscape ever produced.
Save on Konami’s games
If you’d rather get on with the games from the series, Konami is running a sale across digital shops which discounts the various collections available. You can save 80% on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, 50% on the Dominus Collection, 70% on the Advance Collection, and then up to 80% on other games on your respective storefront. These sales will be running until October 8th, 2026. The original Castlevania has also been released on the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store for free until October 24th, 2026.
