The next batch of Super Nintendo titles for the Switch Online service have been revealed, and while Donkey Kong Country 2 is the real standout you can sign me up for Mario’s Super Picross. I’ve played plenty of these puzzling nonograms in the past, though. If you’re new and don’t know what to expect from this Japanese only title, Nintendo’s got you covered with a dedicated tutorial video for the game.

As explained, it’s all about using the number clues to find the hidden picture in the given grid. It takes a little getting used to, and there’s some depth and tricks to be found, but the best way to learn is get in there and play! You can look forward to doing just that when Mario’s Super Picross and the rest of this batch of retro titles come to the Switch Online service on September 23rd.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
