It doesn’t feel like it’s been a year since I first played PlatinumGames’ latest action title, yet here we are on the first anniversary of Astral Chain. The sci-fi police procedural left a strong impression and remains a standout of its genre on Switch, so if you’ve slept on it I highly recommend you have a read through of our Astral Chain review. If you already know how to make the most of your Legion though, then you can fully enjoy these new commemorative illustrations.
ASTRAL CHAIN concept artist Yuki Suda and scenario writer Akiteru Naka drew these illustrations to celebrate the game's first anniversary! It's made me extremely happy to see so many people playing ASTRAL CHAIN over the past year. Thank you very much!#ASTRALCHAIN pic.twitter.com/IqfJfzmKc9

One features many members of its cast celebrating the occasion, while the other brings a more simplified and adorable design to some of its most memorable characters. These come courtesy of Astral Chain Concept Artist Yuki Suda and Scenario Writer Akiteru Naka Naka respectively. They aren’t the only ones getting in on the fun though, as it looks like Platinum had a little party of their own.

No Astral Chain character deserves to be a cake more than Neuron mascot Lappy, and here they are popping up in all their glory again. Plenty more drawings make their way onto a whiteboard at what was sure to be a fond get together to remember all the hard work that went into the game’s development and release.
