Ever since Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched back in March there have been numerous glowing reports of the game’s sales, with the most recent update confirming that it’s surpassed the 5 million units sold mark. As it turns out, quite a few of those sales were made in Europe.

As GamesIndustry.biz reports, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the best selling game in seven European countries for the first half of 2020. Namely, the UK, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Switzerland have all moved to the island paradise in droves.

We’ll just have to wait and see if the record holds through what is bound to be a packed second half of 2020.
