Namco Museum Archives 1 & 2 goes retro for its launch trailer | Nintendo Wire

If you like abstract gridlines and stacked monitors, Bandai Namco’s got your number with its news compilation’s launch series. No stranger to bringing back their arcade classics, Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 & 2 are both arriving today with each volume packing together 11 titles each.

The full list of titles includes the following:

NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Vol. 1

  • Galaxian
  • Xevious
  • Mappy
  • Dragon Buster
  • Pac-Man
  • Dig-Dug
  • The Tower of Druaga
  • Sky Kid
  • Dragon Spirit: The New Legend
  • Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti
  • PAC-MAN Championship Edition

NAMCO MUSEUM ARCHIVES Vol. 2

  • Battle City

  • Dig Dug II
  • Super Xevious
  • Galaga
  • Rolling Thunder
  • Mappy-Land

Of particular note is Pac-Man Championship Edition here, as it’s a unique de-make of the more recent gameplay style for the now 40 year-old icon. Gaplus is getting the same treatment, receiving a new 8-bit home console treatment.

You can pick up Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 & 2 on the eShop, as well as digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. Each volume goes for $19.99.

When he isn’t writing for Nintendo Wire, Ricky’s anticipating the next Kirby, Fire Emblem, or if the stars ever align, Mother 3 to be released. Till then he’ll have the warm comfort of Super Smash Bros. to keep him going.
