While Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to exceed expectations for Nintendo, certain players are, seemingly, upset with the game. According to Metacritic’s “User Reviews” section, New Horizons now boasts over 1,600 negative reviews, which is 600 more than the game’s positive reviews.

All of this negativity from users is a stark contrast to the “Critic Reviews” — with 104/105 reviews being positive; the outlier is a mixed review. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has also obtained a Metacritic “Must-Play” award as well. We, too, loved the game, but still had certain criticisms for Nintendo’s latest release.

Of course, we should mention that Metacritic isn’t always the most accurate way of measuring how good a game is, as users tend to “bomb” a game they don’t like, even if they haven’t played it.

Unfortunately, it seems Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the latest victim for those who are deeply upset with the life-simulator.
