Good (if vague) news, farm-life fans! According to developer ConcernedApe (who was asked about the issue on Twitter), there’s a “good chance” that Stardew Valley will be getting a physical release for the Switch!

Stardew already has a physical version in Japan, but hasn’t had the honor of material form out in the States yet, so this is exciting news. Given that it’s one of the most popular and successful indie games on the Switch, it seems likely that people would turn out in droves for a physical copy, so we can only hope that this physical edition comes sooner rather than later.
