Last week Nintendo put a temporary hold on shipments of Switches and Switch Lites to Japan due to a unit shortage caused by the global COVID-19 crisis. Now the company has announced via Twitter that shipments of the console will resume this week.
In addition, special edition Animal Crossing: New Horizons consoles are slated to ship to the country around the end of the month, hopefully ending the shortage of the consoles therein. No word yet on the status of shipments to the rest of the world yet, so stay tuned for more info as it releases.
