Nintendo has announced that the very first update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available to download a day ahead of the game’s official launch.
On March 18th, 2020 at 6 p.m. PT, players who have preloaded the game from the Nintendo eShop will be able to download New Horizons’ 1.1.0 update immediately to have it ready by launch day.
[Announcement] The Ver 1.1.0 update for #AnimalCrossing: New Horizons will be available ahead of launch, starting at 6pm PT, 3/18. Customers who have preloaded the game after purchasing from Nintendo eShop will be able to download the update data at this time. #ACNH

No details have been provided about what this update will include, or if it’s related to the launch day “Bunny Day” update being planned for the game.
