Coronavirus is everywhere right now, so it’s no surprise seeing it seep into video games. Specifically, Tencent, the Chinese tech giant, and distributor of the Nintendo Switch console, released a statement saying it will extend the warranty by six months due to the virus.

So long as you purchase a Nintendo Switch in China via official outlets before March 31st, you’ll gain an additional six months of warranty coverage. This primarily stems from coronavirus dipping sales of the console due to supply issues.

Of course, coronavirus originated in China and has led to many other video game-related delays or cancellations. If anything else is impacted by the virus we’ll be sure to let you know.
