On Monday, it was reported that Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ page on the official Nintendo website had been updated to include a mention of “In-Game Purchases” as part of its ESRB rating; today, it appears this detail has been completely removed.

The game, rated E (“Everyone”), now only has “Comic Mischief” as a descriptor; interestingly, “Users Interact” was also removed from the ESRB rating.
