Confirming what has been speculated (and requested) for the longest time, it was announced today during the Nintendo Direct that Nintendo Switch Online members will have a new library of games to play on their subscription service – those of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

Boasting the same array of features as the NES Online games (like rewind and co-op play), SNES Online will have the following games at launch:

  • BRAWL BROTHERS
  • Breath of Fire
  • Demon’s Crest
  • F-ZERO
  • Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics
  • Kirby’s Dream Course
  • Kirby’s Dream Land 3
  • Pilotwings
  • Star Fox
  • Stunt Race FX
  • Super E.D.F. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE
  • Super Ghouls’n Ghosts
  • Super Mario Kart
  • Super Mario World
  • Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island
  • Super Metroid
  • Super Puyo Puyo 2
  • Super Soccer
  • Supper Tennis
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Not a bad lineup at all. In addition, you can purchase a wireless SNES Online controller to use with the app for $29.99, styled after the classic purplish-blue SNES gamepad we all know and love. SNES Online launches tomorrow for all NSO members at no additional cost.
