It was almost inevitable that Super Mario Maker 2 would launch last week to critical and commercial acclaim, and the latter has been proven already thanks to the latest phsysical sales reports from the UK’s UKIE/GfK coming in, courtesy of GamesIndustry.biz.

Super Mario Maker 2 took the top spot for last week, with the biggest Nintendo launch this year, toppling New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe’s January debut at last, and almost doubling the number of copies sold compared to the original’s Wii U launch according to Eurogamer. Fellow Switch exclusives Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are also hanging onto their top ten positions.

Third party multiplatform titles like Crash Team Racing and Bloodstained are doing well too – with the latter finding most success physically on the Switch, selling more than the PS4 and Xbox One versions combined, despite performance issues.

Here’s the full list:

    1. Super Mario Maker 2
    2. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
    3. F1 2019
    4. Judgment
    5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
