Square Enix reminded us that both Dragon Quest Builders 2 and Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition are coming this year! Not a ton of new info was shown about either one, but it’s great that Square Enix keeps pushing for Dragon Quest to catch on in the West.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 was first up, and it showed off farming, fighting, building, and exploring in order to build the world from the ground up. The trailer also showcased online multiplayer, where you can build anything you like with your friends.

Dragon Quest XI’s trailer put heavy emphasis on the 16-bit option, where you can play the whole game like an old school top-down RPG. The game also includes a fully orchestrated soundtrack!

Dragon Quest Builders 2 launches on July 12, and we’re still waiting for a date for Dragon Quest XI on Switch.
