Modding extraordinaire Kaze Emanuar has an impressive track record of tinkering with Super Mario 64. Over the last year, their recent project is using 64’s polygon style, and mashing it with Mario and Cappy’s adventures from Super Mario Odyssey. Appropriately named Mario Odyssey 64, Kaze has been sharing updates about the game’s progress on Twitter, YouTube, and Patreon. A big milestone was hit recently, and that was the implementation of the Sand Kingdom.

More kingdoms will be recreated for Mario Odyssey 64, and Kaze is planning to hit a Moon count of 240 to 300 scattered across this crossover world. While we wait for those goals to be reached, you can check out videos of Cascade Kingdom and Cap Kingdom — and follow Kaze’s process on Patreon, Twitter, and/or YouTube.
