LizardCube, the developers behind the faithful remake Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, surprised everyone in August of last year by announcing that they’d be working on a brand new Streets of Rage game in conjunction with DotEmu and Sega. The ending also features some mysterious sillouettes behind Blaze and Axel, and many are already theorizing that they could be additional playable characters. Sadly, none of them appear to be kangaroo shaped.

While there’s still no confirmation of which platforms the game will be available on, Wonder Boy apparently saw very strong sales on Switch so it’d be surprising to see Streets of Rage 4 miss the system.
